The San Fernando Valley is a large suburb of Los Angeles located north of the LA Basin and features the neighborhoods of Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, North Hollywood, Woodland Hills, Burbank and many others. Once known as a quieter enclave of Los Angeles, the Valley is now a rapidly developing area, as many residents have flocked to the Valley to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The Valley is home to prominent film and television studios such as NBCUniversal, CBS Studios, the Walt Disney Company, and Warner Bros. Ventura Boulevard is well-known in the Valley, as it consists of 18 miles of small strip malls, restaurants, and shops stretching from Calabasas to Universal City.
